Peregrine Falcon

After having a battle with two crows and getting drenched by the tide this is one lucky bird . After drying with a hair drier and nibbling on some bacon rashers it was released to fight again . I dont know whether the blood on its beak is from the crow or from Pauls finger

Squacco Heron

Bird of the year for us is this squacco heron found by Kath at Garrys Place. When we found it it was blowing an absolute gale and I could hardly hold the camera to get a picture of it through a gap in the gate .To confirm our suspicions , as we had never seen one before , we checked with Andy Gibson who nearly had a pulmonary convulsion .
